Welcome, Farhan Sarwar, our Head of Engineering.

Farhan Sarwar joins 1904 Labs as Head of Engineering, leading engineering across every company in the studio.

We're excited to welcome Farhan Sarwar to 1904 Labs as our Head of Engineering.

Our model depends on one thing above all: building enterprise-quality software in months, with small teams and a fraction of the capital it used to take. That only works if engineering is excellent and repeatable from one company to the next. Farhan's job is to make sure it is.

The role

Engineering across the studio's portfolio. That means:

  • Architecture and infrastructure for every company we build.
  • The AI systems in our products: the parts that have to run reliably in production, for real customers, from day one.
  • The studio's engineering playbook: the tools, patterns, and practices that carry over from one company to the next.

Why it matters for the model

Every company we build should be faster and cheaper to build than the last. A lot of that compounding happens in engineering: shared foundations, proven patterns, and a team that's done it before. Having Farhan own that layer means each new company starts further ahead and gets to customers, revenue, and an exit sooner.

Each company should be faster and cheaper to build than the last.

Welcome to the team, Farhan.
